Great place to grow up!

Years at this apartment: Pre-1980 - 1979
I lived in the R building from 1969 until 1973. The burnt-out antebellum Knollwood mansion was a short walk back through the woods and offered thrilling exploration for anyone interested in very old American architecture. Tony's Pizza was up the street. Life was good. My only advice is to stay out of the basement apartments. In 1970, they flooded every spring. Then again, maybe I?m remembering "Agnes." Rent on our 2-bedroom apartment was $140.00. My Mom moved because she could no longer afford it.
