Two months into my mistake

The rent is high so you expect luxury, especially because this place is considered luxury living. Well after signing the lease and moving some of my belongings in, I went away on vacation. I was not in my apartment for almost 3 weeks. When I received the electric bill it was higher than I have ever seen. I did not leave lights on nor did I leave the A/C on, considering it was still cold. An electric bill of $260 for a period of time you spend not in your home is ridiculous! After settling in I have come to realize that this is going to be an ongoing problem with this place. Unfortunately I'm stuck with this problem for another 10 months.
