We moved to PHiladelphia area from several hours away, due to a relocation for one of our careers. The property manager lied to us about this apartment - she said there would be no people above us. Not only are there people above us, but they have children. The walls are PAPER THIN and you can hear EVERYTHING!! Laundry, showers, toilets flushing at all hours of the day and night. There is so much noise/pounding that our bathroom light literally fell off the ceiling. MOreover, when we moved in, the vanity shelves were completely warped - and after 3 months and 3 requests, they are still not fixed. At least they sprayed for the huge black furry spiders (we'vekilled over a dozen in two months - they look slightly smaller than tarantulas- no exaggeration)In the last week, the stove (which is ancient but they said theywould not replace) has simply stopped working. Literally. It heats up slightly and then the burners shut off after about 5 minutes. We made two requests to fix it - no response AT ALL. I guess residents are supposed to eat coldcuts?? Needless to say, we are moving out this week, after 3 months - anywhere would be better than this hell. Do yourselves a favor and STAY AWAY!
