I go to AiP and have lived here for 9 months, and am finally getting out in a month. Everything about this place is a joke. It's constantly noisy- just in fact, last night people were yelling down the hallways and pushing shopping carts down the hall at 2 am. i called security and it took them a half hour to come up and yell at them. There is a band that sucks ass and is always banging the drums- i don't say playing because they obviously don't know how to play. We got a water leak in the first month living here, at midnight, and maintanance couldn't fix it since they weren't on duty, so we had to come back in the morning to have it fixed. we couldn't fall asleep because the waterleak was so damn loud! we went down to have them fix it and they said they''d be up within the week. they never came. so we thought you know maybe it wouldn't happen again. we were wrong... two weeks later it started back up, this time at 3 am. when we woke up we went down and told them the story and they were like ok someone will be up later. no one came!!! WE FILED 3 WORK ORDERS AND THEY NEVER DID ----!! so now we have water stains everywhere and the paint bubbled up, i am moving out in a month I AM NOT PAYING FOR THAT ----. Also, when we moved in you know it's supposed to be clean and everything - no, it was DISGUSTING. the tub had this gross overlay of ---- all over it and WE had to clean it. --------. Our telecom thingy, to buzz people in, is broken. I talked to the RA's to have it fixed- they said maintanance doesn't care, there's too many broken they'll never fix them. how much -------- is this'! so when i get a package when they buzz me i cant respond, i have to haul ass downstairs to get a package and they always leave because my thing was broken so i couldn't tell them i was coming to get it! I HATE IT HERE. not to mention it is in the ghetto and you always have to be alert. They overcharge you, this place is NOT worth $1880/month. our room is the size of the bathroom in our new apartment, and TWO people have to live in it and pay more then what we're paying for our new apartment! This is for buildings 7 and 8 - i don't know how they are in the other buildings. Just don't move into these buildings- they are getting rid of student housing here, moving it somewhere else, and they'll be renting these buildings to the public again. DO NOT COME HERE!! Parking is a joke as well- I personally haven't had problems but almost everyone I know has. Someone threw a tv out their window and it landed on someone's windshield. This ---- happens all the time. The parking lot is secure' HAHAHAHAHAHAH no way.

this student lived in a school sponsored housing building and was not a private resident of Allegheny Center - our student apts are now private apts not a dormitory.
