I have lived at Bear Run for over 2 years and couldn't be happier. The staff are the most pleasant management staff at any community I have ever lived at (and I moved 6 times before moving here). I realize it looks like more and more complaints are being written online but quite frankly, people don't really go out of their way much to write good reviews. Most people only comment when disappointed. Most of the neighbors and many of the residents I talk to are very happy living up here. I feel safe, secure and enjoy living in a privately owned community. Sure, I'll hear little noise now and then, but you are living in an apartment building. I have the occassional spider or such, the community is on top of a mountain in the woods, what do you expect! However, within days of calling the office the exterminator will come and my problems have been gone. Maintenance requests are done within a day. I love the exercise room, tanning bed, pool during the summer. The office staff is wonderful. I guess it all depends who you are on how pleasant the experience is.
