Ill admit that Bear Run is in a great location with easy access to the city but that was the only thing I loved about the place. Overall it left me with a bad taste in my mouth because of the poor construction of the building (s). The people who lived above us sounded like they wore lead shoes, I eventually had to sleep with earplugs in because I sick of being awakened every night. I blame this mostly on the building because you could hear everything; every step they took, anytime they dropped something and even when they opened and shut their dresser drawers.
I could also hear every time they ran their dishwasher, took a shower or flushed the toilet (of course SLAMMING the seat first, though this is no fault of Bear Run, just think its rude for apt dwellers to do this) not to mention every time they or anyone else from upstairs went in or out it sounded like the building was coming down with the noise and vibration coming from the steps.
Another thing was a nuisance about living at Bear Run was the situation with their electric. In the last year or so we lost power just about every single week. It created quite a problem when it would go out for long periods of time and Id have to worry about transporting my food. Im not sure if this is a Bear Run issue or the power companys fault but it was a huge inconvenience regardless.
Things I liked about Bear Run include the large sizes of the rooms, lots of parking and like I said before, the location. You cant beat it. I might recommend this place as long as you get an apartment on a top floor; otherwise Id suggest finding somewhere else because for the high amount of rent that you will pay it isnt worth it to have to listen to the people above you.
