Excellent maintenance...The same can't be said for the office staff/management

At the end of this month, it will be 4 years of living @ Bear Run. Over that time, maintenance has been excellent. Every time I've called or left a message @ the office, they've been there no later than the next day to fix the problem. The office staff/management is a different story. They take care of the routine issues and some things that can be handled by a note on a door - beyond that, they're worthless.
At the beginning of July, new neighbors moved in and with them came a tow truck which they parked in front of our building - sometimes we were fortunate enough to have 2 tow trucks. No problem except that a tow truck barely fits in a space and if you're lucky enough to have them park beside your vehicle then good luck trying to open your door and/or wondering if they scratched the side of your vehicle opening their door. Keep in mind that according to Bear Run rules as part of the lease "trailers and commercial or recreational vehicles are not permitted (motorcycles must be parked in only leased garages)". Starting the next to last week of July, my roommate and I combined for 4 discussions with the office regarding this issue. We weren't concerned that they had a commercial vehicle @ Bear Run but rather that they keep it away from other vehicles. The office agreed with our gripe, informed us that other residents were complaining, and indicated that they would take care it. Finally, at the end of August, the Director of Operations had meeting #1 with the tow truck owners (despite being told by the office that they would talk to the owners prior this). After this meeting, we were told that the tow truck would be moved. For about a week, the tow truck was gone from in front of the building - it was parked in front of their Bear Run garage about 75 yards from the building. Yesterday, the tow truck began parking in front of the building again. To make a long story short, the office is aware and from all indications want to avoid addressing it. For something so clear cut (given it's in the lease no commercial vehicles), you would think it would have been a no-brainer to handle and not as drawn out as the office claims it is. I can see why it's drawn out considering the office/management is not willing to go knock on their door and confront the issue. In my 1st year of living @ Bear Run, a resident parked his/her trailer in an end spot about 5 spots from the closest vehicle, bothering nothing. Within a week of the trailers arrival, Bear Run posted a note above the mailboxes instructing the owners to remove it from Bear Run property because it was violating the lease terms. Even though not an issue, the office staff/management took care of the trailer - maybe becasue our tow truck issue requires a face-to-face discussion, they're choosing to avoid the issue as long as they can rather than address it and move on.
For people considering Bear Run, if you think the excellent maintenance and lackluster customer service are worth it then go for it. Keep in mind that Normandy Properties owns Bear Run and the Polo Club - it may be a case of the same levels of service.
For residents of Bear Run, I wonder if the residents driving the tow truck signed a different lease given this slow moving resolution, supposed meetings, and concessions. Maybe it's just a case of the office staff/management not having a backbone on this particular issue.

Thank you for sharing that information. I am currently looking for an apartment/townhouse. Bear Run was a consideration until I read your comment.

Oh, this rings all too true. When we lived at Bear Run, we complained about a person living in the garage next to us and the 12 ------- living the apartment below us with obvious signs of domestic abuse. Yes, 12 sleeping on the floor of the living room that we counted one night when the police came to the building. It was unbelievable. And the people in the garage were living in a tent!! Where did they go to the bathroom!
Sorry to say, but we feel your pain!
