This place is a slum. I have lived here for 4 miserable years and have had nothing but problems. Don't let the "upscale" neighborhood of Squirrel Hill fool you into thinking this is a nice, or even safe, place to live. Management routinely forces tenants to pay for carpet cleaning upon vacancy, however expect to do MAJOR carpet cleaning and shampooing upon moving in. If you value cleanliness, this is NOT the place for you.

I have been dealing with bi-monthly pesticide treatments along with every tenant in my building for well over 6 months. Tenants are forced to esentially live with their kitchen in boxes because they spray all of your cabinets. I finally had to request that they stop spraying in my unit because the chemicals were causing me serious medical problems!

The treatment given to tenants by management is appauling. Management is frequently rude and/or harassing in the manner in which they deal with their tenants. God forbit some emergency comes up in the middle of the night which is not a fire or flood, expect to pay $100 for "after hours" service, no matter what the problem.

The quality of tenants here also leaves much to be desired. There are frequent burglaries of both vehicle and apartment unit, not to mention domestic problems occuring in the hallways and stairwells. Noise is a big problem here as well, the ceilings are paper-thin to the point where I can hear the details of my neighbor's phone conversations. Other tenants are aggressive and threatening, and often times will leave their children unattended in the hallways and courtyards so that they can annoy their neighbors. Parking is appauling, $50/month per car and my car has been vandalized twice. The lots are poorly lit and snow removal often takes two weeks or more.

If your choices are living on the street or living here, this MIGHT be something to consider...otherwise avoid this place at all costs!!!!
