I have lived here with my girlfriend for almost a year and other than it being to hot during th first winter (before heting cost went up), I have had no complaints. I have talked with many of my neighbors, most are very friendly, and each states that there have been a few tenants who complained about everything, were very unfriendly and even called the cops because they felt threatened by an person walking on the back sidewalk.. a tenant taking a shortcut. The complex is beautiful and the yard maintenance is done in timely fashion, including in the winter months with snowremoval. But, like the one lady said, they do not dig your car out for you.. and I doubt if they do ANYWHERE.
The office staff has always been very professional and friendly, especially Janet, and the maintenance guy is very handy and helpful. There is nothing like the feeling of safety this close to Pittsburgh, and it definately exists here.. There are a few kids outside during the summer months, and they are being normal kids... I've never had a huge problem finding parking, usually in front of my door, I also have deer in the woods outside my kitchen window (remember this place is right near downtown!) and the squirrels and rabbits are visible front and rear.. this place has an old fashioned charm, and is very economical, including utilities, which is why I understand putting heat on a timer. I actually had to open windows during last winter, but this winter is better.. for the area and the price this place is a great apartment to call Home! I highly recommend it! Maybe the past reviews were by those tenants that were finally evicted or complained about everything! One important thing.. I have not seen 1 roach or a mouse.. I will take the spiders and ants.. that is no problem! And the ants go away with frequent NORMAl housekeeping! Imagine that! As for the safety, I have only seen 2 cops on calls here, the local Brentwood Police do drive through and they appear confident and friendly, not harassing or expecting trouble here.. that is a good sign. My ONLY complaint' The kitchen is too small, I love to cook! And the fixtures are all Kohler and the ceiling fans are decent quality Hampton Bay, and the laundry, though small is new equiptment, even though the stuff when we moved in was pretty decent. The windows are newer double pane and easy tp clean, the shower is awesome, what I like to call a Man's shower= high pressured and long hot water-- I daily take a 45min hot shower for my back.. the pressure beats any house or apartment I have been to, the temp will flux a degree or 2 when the sink or toilet is used, but where does it not' GREAT PLACE!
