Gas Bills and Management

I suggest you look elsewhere. My gas bill last month was 320. I went to the management and all I got was the brush off. I did some investigating and discovered our gas counter was what looked to be a car mileage ticker screwed to a wood board with our apartment number written under it in sharpie. I am in a 1 bedroom apartment and my gas bill is higher than any house and we only have 1 wall on the outside of the building. Something is fishy here considering I have no idea who our gas company is. We get a gas bill from carriage park and not the gas company. My heat has been at 65 all winter and I still have a 320 gas bill. Absolutely terrible and with no explanation for it. No sound proofing either. I hear everything. Boards above us squeak due to poor craftsmanship (I'm a carpenter).

| I will be the first to admit that the heating costs this year are outrageous. But if you have been following world events over the last year or so you would know that several government agencies predicted heating costs would increase up to 70% this winter. Several employees of Carriage Park, including myself, have also received higher than usual gas bills. One thing I would like to point out is that while the residents do pay for their heat Carriage Park Apartments only recovers approximately 54% of the gas costs for the community. This is in no way a profit making venture. | |
