Since you obviously all read these and try to respond and then give fake entries to try to make your place better, let me inform you about your business.

Carriage Park claims to pay only 54% of the gas bill. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY any company the size of yours would take that big of a hit every single month. You would not have a company. So you can stop making up numbers for that to make yourself look good. Secondly, why is it that you will not explain to anyone how you measure gas. The only response everyone seems to get is that you live here and gas prices went up nationally. You people are working for a greedy money hungry corporation and are apparently not informed to the full extent of what your company is doing to it's tenants. And as for your newest "fake" tenant's review that you typed, you and your staff is not courteous, not whatsoever. I understand this is your job but you would think if everyone seemed to have this problem you would have a better explanation than "Did you watch the news'" or "We live here too" ....I also refuse to believe that any employee living here, pays rent or utilities or both.

Manager's Response

From: Manager Date: 05/11/2006
It is true,I do read and respond to all of these reviews as best I can. I feel it is only fair to be able to respond to comments that residents post. We do not post phoney reviews. I also post my responses as the manager and not annonymously. I am amazed how people seem to take issue with being identified.

It is an absolute FACT that the owners of Carriage Park recover approximately 54% of the gas expense. We do our best to adjust rents as expenses increase, but rates can only be raised to what the market will bear. To do otherwise would be foolish. In order to cover the 70%-100% increase in gas rates rental rates would have to increase upwards of 40% to offset the higher costs. I don't think you or your neighbors would stand for that and I can understand why.

You can refuse to believe anything you choose. But employees of Carriage Park do pay rent and do pay for their own utilities. As I'm sure you've heard many times, nothing in life is free. This includes my rent and utilities and yes I am a resident of Carriage Park.

Carriage Park is a business and quite a successful business at that. The number one way to achieve that is through resident satisfaction. While a few residents have not enjoyed their stay here the overwhelming majority has. Our occupancy rate, resident retention rate and resident referrals show that most residents are happy the chose to call Carriage Park home. I am sorry that you are not one of them.

The majority of your residents are satisfied? The majority of your residents (probably in upwards of 80-90 percent) is of Middle Eastern/Indian? decent. I am sure these foreigners are happy just be in America let alone a great city like Pittsburgh and would gladly pay they absolutely rediculous prices you slap everyone with every month of winter in place of living in a over populated war zone. You can call me bigot or racist or whatever you want. But this is a pretty close estimation to the number of foreigners at Carriage Park. My problem is not with anyone other than the management and company. I knew moving in here the diverse community that it was and it did not bother me and it still does not. What bothers me is that while you hand your tenants an almost 50% discounted gas bill (I still dont believe this), you sit at a computer and wait to reply to complaints instead of fixing the problem that is a gas bill in excess of 600 dollars (according to your discount) for a 1 bedroom apartment. 600 dollars would easily heat a very large house around 4 bedrooms. I am not an idiot don't treat me like one. This is terrible. Something is going on here and I WILL find out and when I do, local authorities and local media will be notified.

Call WPXI, KDKA or another local news station. This place is a ripoff. I have a two-bedroom. I sealed my windows and sliding door with plastic and keep the heat set steadily at 65 and I am still faced with incredible gas bills. I am paying more here than I did when I lived in a duplex last year that had more doors and older windows. I don't buy the fact that management pays over 50% of the gas bill here. There is no way my small apartment can suck up $400 in gas each month.

i called KDKA and im wating for them to get back to me. Maybe we should all meet up some time to discuess some action
