Recently there was a fire at 400 camelot ct., highrise apartment. The attitude and activities by the management after this fire was terrible. They sent the tenants out of the building at an outside temperature of -20 degree celcius. Even small kids are sent out in this temperature without any safety measures. After the fire the management sent all the tenants to redcross for shelter. That was pathetic and the management has no responsibility towards the tenants. After that they are not allowing tenants to enter the building to take there personal properties and telling that they are doing the maintenance work. If you come to the apartment you can see what is happening here. No safety here . MOst of the apartments are broken by this managemnt and the work is dead slow. The number of people doing the work is very less around 5 or 6 and they cut an broken most of the apartments without even allowing the tenants to take there personal property . Also they are not even answering the phone calls or even giving any positive reply to the people who are staying outside. They not even think about their problems. Most of them are working and have kids. Also the management is not even considering them to give another apartments which are vacant now.

The only answer to this rough and rude attitude of the management is to go to the court for compensation for their rude attitude. The tenants already in the building are planning to go to the court for their safety. Because the maintenance work is not done till now. You can see electric wire and fire lines are open to all are brocken and no cleanliness or anything safe for human life in this high rise apartment. So goto the court. You will get compensation.

Please don't come to this apartment . please. the management is rude rought and nothing... big zero

Manager's Response

On Feburary 4th there was a fire started by a resident that resulted in the building being evacuated for the residents own safety. I agree that it was a very cold night as I was there as well. The fire department determined that no residents would be able to stay in the building until the fire alarm system had been restored. It was not a management decision to send people out in the cold. Management did not send anyone anywhere. The American Red Cross offered to assist residents who had no place to stay and provided a bus to transport them.

At this time Carriage Park has relocated nine residents whose apartments were too damaged to live in. At the time of the fire Carriage Park was 99% occupied which left few onsite options for transfers. The other units that have suffered more minor damage and cosmetic damage have been give the clear to be reoccupied. This does not mean that all the work is completed. I wish the restoration work was going more quickly as well. And I do expect an increase in that in the coming weeks.

Every resident who moves into Carriage Park signs a clause strongly urging them to obtain renters insurance. It is an inexpensive policy to have that can protect your belongings and help cover expenses incurred in situations such as this. To date I have only heard of a few residents in this building who had insurance.

Anyone renting an apartment anywhere should have renters insurance.

The restoration works are still pending at carriage park apartments. The only thing that is happening promptly and in time is receiving the monthly rent. It must be in time. All other works and maintenance are done without any concerns to the tenants. The manager or other staff don't know when the work will be done. Then why they are sitting in this responsible position. You can see most of the work are still pending. We are staying in a developed country like United States of America. We never expect such a thing or delay or such a attitude from the staff from this country.

I request the manager to see the review

Where is the manager ? Respond immediately. We the people who are staying at 400 building already contacted attorney regarding the managements irresponsibility and bad attitude towards the residents. The management is not doing the restoration work. they are responsible to do the work immediately because they are getting monthly rent. There is no delay or problem in accepting rent from the residents. Management is not ready to do the work. You can see 1 or 2 people are doing the work in a large apartment like this. Most of the apartments are partly or fully broken by this managements maintenance team. That work is done in time. But no further move. If we ask about it the managements response is they don't know. then who knows about it. Do the work immediately. Otherwise they have to face consequences. We already met attorney regarding compensation. We are planning to contact Judge Hatchett or somebody else to make this issue in media.
