Chestnut Ridge Apartments

RABID RACOONS! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/19/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006   We're living here temporarily and weren't very picky about the accomodations, but BEWARE OF THE RABID RACOONS. If you opt to live here, do NOT chose an apartment in the buildings in the back (higher-numbered buildings). These buildings border the woods (Settlers Cabin Park) and racoons will come out in broad daylight to root through the dumpsters. They are a LOT of them--they're huge, mangy, and not afraid--you can walk right up to them. So far the police, animal control, and the property management company have done nothing. We're afraid to walk from the parking lot to our apartment door (which is in the back of the building, so you have to walk past the dumpsters to get to it). We're almost at the point of taking our garbage somewhere else to throw it away, even though we're paying $10/month for having the dumsters available. Even though we're only living here temporarily, it could NEVER be "home". We're counting the days until our lease is up and we can move.
