When I moved in almost 2 years ago the rent was reasonable at $675 for a one bedroom. Well, they raised it to $750 the next year (after talking them down from $795!!) and now I am up for renewal again and they want to raise it to $800! These are ridiculous increases! They assured me upon moving in (different management team now though, of course) that it wouldn't go up more than $20 a year. Too bad I didn't get that in writing! I agree with some of the other comments about the noise...I have had complaints against me when I was sitting home alone watching a movie at normal volume, saying there was loud banging coming from my apartment! And they are quite belittling about it when you try to refute the complaints.
The linoleum does have lumps, and I also have problems with silverfish(earwigs, whatever you call them).
All that said, the amenities are nice and the maintnence staff does a good job. However, it is just too expensive for what you get.

Actually your situation is just like mine....Originally it was $675 and now I'm up to $750 if next year they decide to raise it to $800 I'm so out of here!!! Also, I have a dog...I have to pay an additional pet rent per month - when I know some apartment owners have NEVER paid the fee!!! However, I was told recently if I decide to MOVE again to another apartment they will be able to give me the new pro-rated amount.....well why cant they just give it to me with this apartment???? These people are nice at the office...but they really aren't the sharpest pencils in the box!!!
