I have eben here for a year and this place is awful! First of all we lost heat during the coldest week of the year and management did not care at all. I was sick with mono during this and asked if there was anything they could do and they said no. Second of all they completely lied to us on the elase. When we moved in we had a dog and were told we could have anothewr dog, but we would have to pay an extra $15 a month for the dog. I sid that was fine and we got another dog. The pet limit says the dogs must be under 40lbs. My one dog is 35, and the other maybe about 20. After being there with the dogs for 4 months, they told us that the combined weight of the dogs has to be forty or less. This is not in my lease and we that was the first we heard about it. The really messed up thing is one of the women who work in the office lives aboves us and she has a 75lb dog. When I asked the manager if she had to move out to, the manger said no the dog is just overweight and is going on a diet. It must be one hell of a diet for it to lose 30 some pounds.

Manager's Response

From: Manager Date: 05/28/2007
I am unaware of your apartment being without heat for any length of time this winter and trust me, if I knew about that it would have been taken care of. All maintenance requests are handled as referenced by our maintenance tickets written and completed on a daily basis. If it didn't get handled within 24 hours you should have contacted the property manager on this. We did not lie to you about anything on your lease. All you have to do is read about every piece of publication we gave you before you moved in and all of it discusses our pet policy which has always been the same for the past 5 years since we have accepted pets at Crane Village. Residents should be aware that, yes, infact our office is watching closly for pets which do not fit our pet policy. Also, please note that this tenant has 2 dogs which are each at or above 40lbs and the tenant never registered her second dog with the rental office. The office staff member who you are referring to could not get her dogs' weight down in the time I have specified and is actually giving her dog away and has posted ads in the pennysaver to give the dog to a good home. So as you can see, we apply the same policy to our own staff members who live onsite. Just to review this matter once again for anyone who might want to have a pet and live at Crane Village. We accept small pets with a $150/per pet non-refundable deposit and a $20/per pet monthly rent. All dogs must be under 40 lbs and you can have up to 2 pets (cats/dogs) but the combined weight can not exceed 40lbs.
