Haunted''' From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 6/22/2008 Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003   I liked living in the Fairfax and it was the strangest place. It was my first apartment and I was a student at Pitt. The rent was pricey but it was safe. The location is excellent. Management was pretty good too. Not many things broke in my apartment so maintenance was a non-issue and I had a great view of the Cathedral of Learning. Here's the thing... I think there may be ghosts in the building. I don't know how else to explain it. You probably think I'm crazy but I heard the strangest things in my apartment. I don't want to get into specific details on an apartment rating page but they were similar to another posting. Perhaps we had the same studio apartment. I guess I should have been more alarmed by all of this but it began to feel strangely comfortable. I will say one thing; living at the Fairfax could give you some good ghost stories. I love the building in October. Seriously, it's a good apartment building. One downside -occasionally I'd get a very cold draft for no reason. Maintenance couldn't fix it and had no idea where it was coming from. It's such an old strange building that I really don't think there was much they could do.
