I'm a resident of this complex. Outside of a bug or two in the basement and the garage. This place is great. So far, I've nothing but wonderful experiences with the staff and maintainence. You call the office and it's usually fixed within a 48 time period, providing it's not a real emergency. Face it people. This complex is a fairly old complex. Built in the 1960's and it still some of the old fixtures in it. But to me, it's getting old gracefully and with the recent make over, I was told about 10 years ago where they changed out all of the windows and doors on the exterior. I think the place looks pretty good for it's age. I'm the type of person that believes that if you only rent, then it really doesn't belong to you, so treat it with respect. Thing break down, just like people do. So don't wait until nothing can be done. Call the property manager and make sure you follow up to make sure everything gets done. It was so nice to come into a place with freshly painted walls, new carpets and no roaches. I'm originally from the Pgh area, so I know that Pgh has it's share of bugs. I think the problem with a lot of people is the people they keep and they take advantage of something, just because it doesn't belong to them. This place is nice. The rooms are fairly large. The bathroom is a bit small, but then how often do you spend hours on end in there. Go in, do your business and get out. Yes I would reccomend this complex to everyone that I know who is looking to rent in the North Hills. It's close to everything, Downtown, the malls, shopping and even a bus that goes through the complex. Heck, what more would you ask for. Nights here are very quiet and make for good sleeping. No trouble so far and hope it stays that way. I feel very safe and comfortable here.

you obviously must just sit in your apartment high all day and not even know where you're at. This whole place is disgusting and the people who live here are obnoxious as well.

I'm not sure that you got the right apartment complex Governors ridge was the dumps! Every other night I was seeing police cars and people fighting. There was also a pet limit: never followed ther was a townhouse that had 3 Dobermans , their garade door was open one day and there where piles of feces left. They finally moved out, but of course left the feces. I lived above mantance and they stored their lawn mower in the space under me all we could smell where gas fumes. One night we had to call the gas company becouse we thought a line had broke and it was only an knocked over FULL can of gas they didnt bother to clean up

The person writing this review must be one of two things: deaf or blind. If you choose to rent here you will be unhappy. Trust me. I am a professional with a college degree. I like come home from work and relax without hearing the people who live next to you. The walls in this place are paper thin. You can clearly hear conversations, tv's, radios, everything....... The appliances are out dated and the carpeting was flat and smelled of mildew. I asked several times to have it replaced. It never was. Not to mention the mice that got into everything! I also noticed a large number of the tenants never worked. This led me to believe that those tenants were on some kind of public assistance, which always creates a wonderful environment. Don't walk away from this place...... RUN!
