My wife and I were spending a nice evening out on our patio and long story short we got to reading these posts and decided to share our thoughts.
Okay, lets look at the facts.
LOCATION: Can't beat it- I am literally 6 minutes from downtown.
CONSTRUCTION: If you know anything about how buildings were constructed in the 50's, Pitt workers used double block concrete and plaster walls between units. Go ahead and try to compare this to newer construction as far as noise goes. Let's leave it at that.
MAINTENANCE: On the occasions that I have had to contact the office, they have responded and addressed my concerns because of this I am comfortable in my home.

Governor's Ridge is an unbeatable location and the price point can not be matched in any area in the cusp of city limits. 1% tax. Try to find better in the metro area.

Bottom line is as I read the negative comments, I can't help but think about the fact that I have been living here for eleven years and can not relate with the "nit-picky" comments of apartment living.

For those of you who have issues with centipedes and parking, etc. move to Canada.

The townhome I rented was full of mice..... Not bugs. I could hear them climbing in the walls at night when I tried to sleep. They would get into everything. I found holes in the ceral boxes, bread and anything they could get into. I also would find dropings everywhere. My little girl was only 3 then. Management told me to go and buy some traps and poison. They refused to hire a professional exterminator. Some people enjoy living in filth and become content with sub-standard living environments. Most of those types of people are on welfare or mentally ill, or both.

this piece was obviously written by the property manager again. I lived there for two years in early 2001. worst years of my life. I don't even mind bugs or rodents. even though I had to step over their dead bodies every time I walked out my front door. (mainly the rodents, bugs i just stepped on) and the people that also live there should be in section 8 housing. homeless looking people wandering around without shirts on. the cream of the pittsburgh crop. the whole place is ghetto and maintain like it is in the ghetto. enjoy your 11 years in hell buddy. sounds like your looking forward to many more.
