Don't Live Here

We moved in almost a year ago now, and my fiance and I, being two young professionals, thought this would be the perfect apartment for us. Our apartment itself (3BR, 3BA) is nice and spacious, but it is as though we live WITH our neighbors. I can hear absolutely every noise that our neighbors make, and the pipes ini the ceiling frequently rattle, which is a constant noise that you cannot block out. Unfortunately, one of our neighbors is a family with 3 children who are so loud that we cannot even sleep in our upstairs bedroom ibecause we can hear their every noise. On the other side we have college kids who have weekend parties, which we do not necessarily mind, but recently we actually were BLAMED for our neighbor's party. Someone in Heinz Lofts management actually came to us the next day (after banging on our door at 2am the night before) and told me that he knows we had a party the evening before. In actuality, my fiance and I were in bed by 11:30pm and when they knocked on our door at 2am, I answered in my pajamas. This has been the last straw, considering that we are frequently the target of noise complaints (like the time we received one at 5pm on a Sunday for watching Transformers). I blame management for allowing unreasonable tenants to lodge ridiculous complaints, which wind up with us having various "chats" with management for absolutely no wrong-doing on our part. Look elsewhere for an apartment with thick walls and management who isn't overrun by its obnoxious tenants.
