My husband and I moved in about a year ago, and our experience here has been nothing short of horrible. We have been fighting with the manager about a mentally disturbed neighbor, who seems to think that it is ok to harass everyone around him, including children. What's even worse is that the manager seems to think that his behavior is acceptable! Holiday Park has done nothing to stop this terrible person, and the people in our plan are afraid to let their children outside!!! The adults are afraid to be in their homes. Don't let your famlies be tourmented like us! The employes here have no idea how to run a community, and they don't care about any one's safety or well being. All they are interested in is getting their rent check every month. There are plenty of other apartment complexes that are a thousand time safer and nicer. Don't make the same mistake we did, go somewhere else!

I live in New Jersey where the Division of Youth and family Services is dumping emotionally and behaviorally disturbed young people in apartments with foster caregivers. Most of the caregivers are only in it for the money, and allow the mentally disturbed to stalk and harass the other tenants. The caseworkers assigned to the caregivers are under-trained and overwhelmed, and rarely see the caregivers or mentally disturbed youths in their care. Because of the lack of oversite the caregivers abuse their position, and use the children as a buffer to do what they want. Management won't get involved, and neither will the police. The youth placement program is shrouded in secrecy, as is D.Y.F.S., and there is no one to turn to for help. You may be caught up in a similar situation where your states human services department is placing the mentally ill in apartments. Without transparency in the community, you could easily run into a similar situation in another apartment complex - I have.
