The "NEW" Kenmawr is not so new. It is outdated and overpriced. You are ONLY paying to live in "Shadyside" For the overpriced fee you will receive poor, unfriendly, and somewhat clueless service from the property manager. Unless scheduling an appointment, it is unlikely that you will find any management in their offices. Also, if you have a question, it may take DAYS to get an answer. The carpets are old, the air conditioners are wall units and run up the electric terribly (150 running half a month on and off)!!!!! The bathrooms are tiles of pastels including pinks, blues, yellows and greens (or a combination)The bedrooms have noisy doors which is disturbing. You can hear every time a neighbor slides the closet doors to open and close. The walls are paper thin and it is very easy to hear neighbors all around you and their "activities" The building is full of children who are often left unattended and run up and down the hallways and run throughout the building. The fitness room is filled with broken equiptment. The doormen are hardly ever there, so if you may need to get a package...good luck! The parking is terrible! You can pay a huge fee for indoor parking or half the huge fee for a small lot off of the street. (my car still got hit in the lot and on the street)The elevators are often broken. The environment is very ethnic, so plan on smelling interesting food all day, every day. The only good thing that I must say is that the maintenence crew is very friendly and they do their jobs. I would not recommend anyone to live here.
