I have resided at the Velma Court Apts for several years and have generally been happy here. They are located in the Greenfield section of the city in a neighborhood that is mostly middle-working class. There is a convenient bus line and a couple of plazas (mostly eateries)nearby.

Unfortunately in 2006, management had instituted a $35.00 parking fee. Consequently, some tenants have chosen not to pay the fee, yet continue to park their vehicles in the lot anyway. Additionally, there has been a current rent increase (most likely as a result of the newly installed windows, which were years overdue) The rent increase is a double whammy to those reeling from last year's parking fee.

Maintenance staff and service are exemplary. Requests for general service issues are usually handled the same day if not within a couple of hours of your call. Service personnel are professional and leave a detailed service request report stating what work was done in the apartment.

Management is responsive to your needs, however, have shown a propensity for curtness.

Overall a nice place to live but the parking fee and current rent increase will most likely have me looking elsewhere when my current lease contract expires.
