This was by far the worst apartment building I have ever lived in. When I was shown the apartment, it was in good condition, and I was promised that the kitchen would be rennovated. When we moved in, the place was a mess and the kitchen had not been touched. The floors were slanted, and the shower never got hot water. The apartment across from us had garbage filled on the fire escape; although nothing was ever done about it even though we filed numerous complaints and safety code violations. I was also promised parking, but when I moved in there were no spaces available so I had to park on the street. In addition, I left for Easter to go home and when I came back, there was a wall missing from my apartment because they decided to convert my 1-bedroom into a 2-bedroom by joining it to the apartment next door. Maintenance did not clean up its mess afterwards and when I called the emergency hotline to inquire why I was missing a wall, I got an answering machine (where my phone call was not returned for 3 days). In addition, they prorated my rent for the last month since I moved out on the 10th so they could continue renovations, but when I got my safety deposit back, they took the remaining balance of my rent out of it stating that they do not prorate. Needless to say, this was the worst apartment and management that I ever had to deal with in my life. Be very careful if you want to live there and make sure you get everything they say in writing.
