Parents - don't let your kids stay in McKee Place apartments. All apts owned by them are out of code and are being condemned. I spoke with Pittsburgh Police (NOT the University Police). Would you want your kids staying in apartments that have balconies falling off, bathrooms that are literally falling apart, and doors that don't lock properly' My daughter had her laptop and clothes stolen. Roommate had ipod and othe electronics stolen. If you live in building #316 - beware, those apartment keys and locks are not changed with each new tenant - the office just keeps making new keys and old tenants are stealing from the new ones. Moldy carpeting, leaking toilets, walls and paint peeling - if Youth and Family services knew that children we're staying here, they'd remove them from their parents custody. I'm surprised I didn't see rats. The Pittsburgh Police renamed the street "McFree" Place apartments - anything you own will be stolen.

This is a total lie. This review is not written by a parent, but by a disgruntled cowardly resident who got his car towed for parking it in an illegal spot. This rating is a vengeful immature lie.
