Not as bad as some say

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008

I lived here during the 07-08 school year at 314 and did not have nearly as many problems as some others have stated.

Management:
The head of the management is Melissa and while she may not always be the friendliest of people, she does know what she is doing. However, if you have problems with her, you can always contact her assistant manager Laura Vincent. Laura was always very concerned about getting things done accordingly and in a timely fashion. She never once looked at us a "less than equal" and treated us fairly in any situation. She honestly made any situation we had to deal very easy with reduced stress.

Maintenance:
This is where I would agree with many other problems stated with a few examples of my own:
1) The door to our balcony was very poorly insulated and let in a lot of cold air during the winter season. We contacted maintenance and told them about the problem. They told us that they would be out to replace the door. This was in December, 2007... A few days later, they measured the door and told us that they had to order a new one. The problem was fixed... in May after the cold weather was already gone.

2) They replaced the front door to our unit for city code requirements at one time and forgot to mention that the door had received a fresh coat of paint. Unfortunately, some things were ruined as we walked in and out of the apartment.

3) Roughly a month before we moved out, they decided to replace/ add lights in our bathroom. After they were finished, they forgot to turn the electricity back on. We called that evening and reported the problem, but they did not come to turn it on until about noon the next day leaving us with a pitch-black bathroom.

With a few other maintenance problems, it was honestly less stressful for us to just fix the problems ourselves...

Compared to other prices I've seen, our rent was surprisingly less than other competitors at roughly $360 per person.
