don't want to replace door after burglary

We had someone break into our apartment on a friday night by kicking down the door, and they told us replacing the door could wait until monday even though the door was not secure and whoever it was could break into the apartment again. I feel extremely unsafe. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!!!
