I have read a lot of complaints about Mozart Management, and while I definately have a few of my own, I can also note a few good things about the company. If your a student and looking for somewhere to live, one the the advantages is that the company doens't require a security deposit. Almost every other company in Pittsburgh does (which ends up saving you $700). I have no real complaints about my apartment other than the noise. I feel like no matter where you lived in this builing, its just noisy. There's train tracks behind the property (which they don't point out when showing the apt) and I would guess 10 trains go by a day. Also, it just seems like they are always doing some sort of noisy repair work either in the apt or in a surrounding property (which I realize has to be done, but none the less, its noisy). Also, all of the apts have wood floors which I like, but beware, you can hear every foot step above you. In regards to maintainance, they are freindly, fast, and efficient in my oppnion. Its really the leasing office on South Aiken to stay clear of. They oversee all the properties, and they really just don't give a crap about thier tennants. My impression is that they are extremely money hungary. They were completely inflexible about extending my lease when I inquired, esp given that they want you to know if you are going to renew your lease FIVE months before it ends. Also, once they find out that you are not going to renew your lease, they start showing it NONSTOP- almost to the point that its ridiculous and just inconsiderate, giving that someone is living there and doesn't want all these people trompsing in and out of your apartment at all hours on a daily basis for literally months. Parking was another problem. They're are limited spaces and no one in the leasing office seems to know how to lease them. I was on there waiting list all year and I never got a spot''' who knows. The apartments are cute inside, at least compared to the other ones I saw. And they have A/C and a dishwasher which is sometimes hard to find in Pittsburgh. My suggestion is that you read up on the company before you decide to live here.
