I dealt with these people for several years, in two different buildings, and I looked at apartments in several of their other buildings. I can say this, the buildings and apartments go from beautifully detailed and maintained to years of white on white and shoddy patches.

Keep in mind this is a company that employs hundreds of people and manages over one thousand apartments. They have some incredible employees who have worked their for years, but they also have a lot of psuedo-nazis working for them. Try and make friends with the maintenance people. It's in your best interest. It's also in your best interest to rent from one of the smaller buildings, which I should have done.
The apartments are nicer.

The office people by and large suck. They'll stretch the truth to the point where I'd allege they outright lie but most of this is standard realtor issue, if it makes a sale...say it. Mistakes were made. Sorry.

I no longer live there. I wish I might've read this list before I rented there, but I think I probably still would have moved in.
If you do rent from them, be polite. Never p*ss one of them off. I didn't but I also moved to a much more reasonaby managed place.

The Nalco thing is pretty awful. The seediness trickles from the top down.
