Good location, nice apartments

I was a resident of North Pointe Commons for two years, and was very happy there. I moved out ultimately due to choosing to buy a place over paying increasing rent. Overall, I have no major complaints about the complex. It offers a great location in the North Hills, with a fast path to any other part of the city as well. You can walk to the grocery store, the gym, or a track. The staff has always been helpful and professional.
A few criticisms for a simple heads-up....
-Probably my main issue while there was the mail, which is not the fault of the complex. There were consistently different mail deliverers, and the situation was so iffy that I generally had packages or anything of importance sent to me at work. One time I had a package LOCKED in a box for which I had no key for weeks. The management apparently could do nothing in this instance to help me, so I just had to keep trying to catch the mail person! :( I finally did.
-My other complaint would have to be the rent increases. In two years, my rent went up nearly $100 per month, yet no extreme changes were made to my building, etc. I found that to be a lot.
In all fairness- and to end on a positive note - you did get your money's worth with general maintenance. We had some BAD weather this past winter, and the sidewalks and streets were consistently well-maintained. When I had a problem in my unit, it was usually fixed within a day or so.
One other thing to mention, as some potential renters may find this annoying - you have to MAIL in your rent check each month as opposed to being able to drop it off in a box or do it online.
