NPC is a great place. First, the location is incredible; my wife or I have lived in both the east and southsides of Pittsburgh and nothing is better than the north. The commute downtown takes less than 10 minutes and there are NO tunnels to wait at every day. Secondly, NPC is definitely the best buy in apartment living in Pittsbugh, a great price. Third, management is awesome. I have had to request maintenance help about four times in the two years we've lived here and each time Marie has had Marty take care of it immediately. For example, last week my wife reported that our shower would no longer stay hot long enough. Two days later, we have a new water heater. That kind of service is why I don't have any intention on leaving any time soon and you should definitely look into NPC if you are looking for an apartment in the Pittsburgh area.
