We relocated here and were not familiar with the good and bad areas of Pittsburgh. Now we know.
The positives- Maintenance was good. The townhouse we lived in was energy efficient. Utility bills were low. The inside of our Townhouse was nice but not nice enough to make living here worth it. Where to begin'''
*Drug bust with guns and dogs in the next building over.
*Neighbors smoke pot on their FRONT porch with no apologies when you open your front door and it fills your living room even when my wife was very pregnant and when we brought the baby home from the hospital!!!
*Car keyed
*Children run everywhere with no one watching them and they always thought it was fun to stand on top of our car or even shoot bottle rockets at it.
*The noise from outside was terrible. People would shout up and down the street all night long.
*Drug Dealing in the filthy playgroud. The Security guards are always there and yet everyday I saw people dealing drugs there.
*One tiny pool - The brochures (when we moved in) said two pools but there is only one.
*Office is closed way too much, and if they are closed on rent day there is no rent drop. One time when the management office was closed (on the 1st)I took my check to the leasing office and asked if they could accept rent. They said yes, but they were out of receipts. I made the mistake of trusting them and they posted my rent 7 days late! and charged me! I complained and they took off the charge though.
*Litter - They keep the area around the leasing office picked up but everywhere else people leave trash all over. I mean big trash as well, like pizza boxes and lots of bones.
Move to a different area! (we live in squirrel hill now and have many fewer problems for much less rent and a bigger house.
