I have lived in Oakhill for 1 year and it has been absolutely horrible. Where to start. There was a real life drive-by less than 30 yards from my front door in the daylight hours, and I live on the safer side of the community. The otherside is so much more shady. The neighbors are ridicously loud and inconsiderate. Cars are constantly broken into. There's not enough parking on the street, and if you park in a lot, expect a broken window. If you plan on living here, I hope you enjoy excessive rap music with bass that vibrates the windows in every bedroom. Cars constantly drive up and down the streets playing there music as loud as possible. Residents walk up and down the sidewalks whistling and jawing at any females while smoking weed. Cars beep at all hours of the day and night. Instead of knocking on doors or calling on the cell phone, people will just lay on the horn for 1 to 2 minutes. And, the part I hate most, the MANAGEMENT STAFF. You get sucked in living here by coming up during the day (before all the shady people starting hanging out on the corners and sidewalks) and speak with the Leasing staff. The people in the leasing staff are very kind and intelligent. After you sign the paperwork, you never see or hear from them again. You only deal with the management staff. I don't know where they find these people but they are probably borderline mentally retarded and are very angry. I have never met meaner, more mistake prone people in my entire life. These people are so stupid! They constantly screw up rent payments and try overcharging. I am a college student who loves to party, but even this place is too crazy for me. If you are a father, husband, or brother, do not let your females live here, IT IS NOT SAFE! Check this place out around 10:00PM, you'll see what I mean. And if you are a guy who has his mind set on living here, buy a gun. I've probably missed many other problems; these are the ones I thought of right away. All I can say is, this was the worst year of my life (renting wise), i've lived in two other places that don't even compare to this place. I moved here because it was close to school. I can't wait to get out of this place. I highly recommend not leasing here, take my word for it!
