Hmm!! Other complaints here seem odd. Let me just tell you all the Great things that have been done since new ownership.

I have to admit... I'm not one to let people know that I love my landlord... I mean who does that' So you can assume that when someone's upset they go off, like apparently the complaints here have done. BUT!!! I have to step in and let the truth be known.

I have lived in the Parkview Estates for 2 years. One year under the old ownership, KING MANAGEMENT and one year under the new owners Trends Capital. For those of you who think that the new management has not done anything, lay down the crack pipe my friend. For those of you who think Trends Capital has done nothing to this building... Wake up and smell the New Carpet, New Paint, New Tile, New Locks, New PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT for crying out loud.

The old management was a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not just because the person in charge was a 700lbs man who was bed ridden and basically gave me this one page lease and told me here, sign if you want to. But the property was filled with losers. I felt scared for my life every day I walked into that place. It was a disaster. The old owner, Michael King, the only time he was around was once a month to pick up some quarters from the 1 out of 10 washing machines that was working at the time. If you had seen this place one year ago you would wonder why someone in their right mind would even consider moving into a filth hole. Well, to make a long story short, I transferred mid semester and didnt have much money to put down a security deposit. King Mgmt was all for it. I should've known it was too good to be true. Especially when I found out my roomates where hairy, pokey, wings and there 10,000 cockroach brother and sisters.

The place was a mess and the only one that could do anything about it was the half drunk 24 hours a day brother of the 700lb guy who always had a "I just raped someone look on his face."

For those of you complaining about the new management, you must be new to this building. Or indeed do need to get out and check in to a mental clinic. FYI did you know this place was ROACH INFESTED''''' no, of course you didnt, because Trends Capital has killed every last ant in this place. Even though many of you still continue to throw crap all over the hallways. Here is another FYI, did you know the whole retaining wall outside had fallin over days before Trends Capital purchased the place' No of course not, because when you moved in, it was Brand Spanking New! What about the hallways, where you aware that about 50% of it was carpeted with torn up green astro turf and the other 50% was where astro turf use to be, but was actually now the wood floor with random holes in it... I'm sure you failed to realize that as well because the WHOLE building got brand new carpet... Yeah, you read it right... THE WHOLE BUILDING.

Geez I cant believe I'm defending my landlord... I never thought I would be doing this, but I cant take people talking out of their a$$! Lies Lies Lies is all I've read in these other comments.

oh and just a few more things they did as well since they purchased the place 1. They kicked out all the hoodlum Crack heads that lived here before and now its all students. 2. They painted the entire interior of the building. 3. They painted the Exterior of the building 4. They Painted, Carpeted, and Tiled EVERY SINGLE APARTMENT in this place (there are about 50 apartments in here in total). 5. They exterminated the entire building. 6. they put in a professional management company in charge. 24 hour service and professional maintenance guys in uniform (beats the 700lb guy and his convict brother) 7.hmmmm Lets see, they put in all new light fixtures in the hallway, 8. Fixed Every Single Washer and Dryer in the building now 10 out of 10 work rather than the 1 out of 10 before. 9. ahhh well, you get the idea. oh ya by the way... and all of this stuff that I listed above took them like 60 days to do. It was truly incredible to see it changing before my eyes.

So for those of you that believe these other people when they say Trends Capital had not done anything, I rest my case with the above. You cant possibly understand for a second the fear I had of living in this place day in and day out all of last year. It was frigtening, and my neighbors were even more frightening. But when Trends Capital took over, like the first day of owning it, they had changed every single lock in the building and were removing carpet from the halls on day 1. Every day there was an improvement so I decided to give it just one more chance and renew for a year with them. It looked very promising.

Smartest decision I've ever made!

Anyways... sorry again, if I sound a little too passionate or over the top. I had to defend these guys, they changed my life completely around and I'm not going to let these other complaints which by the way seem to be all from the same person, stop me from getting my story out.

Good luck and happy hunting. Feel safe in renting with Trends Capital. From my experience... they will be a HUMONGOUS breath of fresh air.

I have previously reviewed the building and gave it scathing reviews. My problem is not with the appearance of the building, per-se. And your reply to my list of problems with the building seems to address everything I did not mention. New carpet and new lights are one thing, however my apartment does not seem to SHOW these improvements. I will admit the carpeting is new, however thats about it. And please do not tell me what infestation problems I do or do not have. Seriously, you can see the roaches on the walls in the ground floor the next time you make a trip to the laundry room. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying that for someone that can insult people for their opinions of the building you sure didn't do a very good job of refuting ANY of the points made by other reviewers. I stick by everything I said in my previous review. And I'm going on three months waiting for work-orders to fix the blatant draft in my unit and over 6 months to take care of problems that were promised to be fixed before I even moved in. And for the record, I wrote one review, so it seems that all the reviews are NOT from the same person, but in fact people with similar problems. And perhaps next time you call someone stupid or say they are smoking crack maybe you should do your best to counter all the points they make and not just mention new carpet and new lights (which, for the record, the light fixtures outside my door have not worked once in 9 months). I'm sorry but the person that gave this apartment building a 5 must be on crack themselves or it must be someone from Trends Capital themselves. YOU CANNOT GET RID OF ROACHES!!! I am sorry you just can't...how can you get every single roach and roach egg! Trends Capital bombed the building once and when I lived in this dump there were still many roaches to be found. When I was moving out the company that was replacing the old carpets with cheap carpets said they were scared to pull up the carpets. Every time they did they saw a whole bunch of roaches running all over the place (this was after the building was bombed). Don't be fooled if you don't see them during the day because from my experience there I always saw them at night. I would turn on my kitchen light and at least a dozen of them would go running away (this was after they bombed the place). I kept my apartment very clean so that has nothing to do it with it...hell Trends Capital use to show off my apartment all the time because I was told it was the cleanest apartment in the building. Oh and once you tell Trends you don't want to renew your lease they will show your apartment off whenever they please. You can request 24 hours notice but they still don't do it. Maintance is a joke! They do not stick to their word at all. I mean that is if you can even get someone at Trends Capital to answer the phone. They use an answering service so if they want to get back to you they will...which they won't. To me it is obvious that Trends Capital wrote this review. Look how detailed they are about everything that was done to the apartment complex! Lastly, (I could go on forever about how bad this dump is) check out the Better Busniess Bureau website and see that Trends has many complaints against them (and they have only been on the BBB since July).
