First I would like to start off by saying the person that gave this apartment complex a 5 had to be from Trends Capital! First off they said they lived at the Parkview slums for 2 years. Yet, at the top it says years at this apartment 2008-2008. Second, the reviewer name is Jaxson...seems weird that the owner's name is Jason. Third, what renter would go on and on about how good the landlord is and the changes that were done to the complex in such detail. Sounds shady to me...just like the management at Trends Capital.

*Parking-Don't be fooled. You must pay for a parking spot! This is something they do not tell you!

*Noise-I can hear my neighbors (above, below, and next to me) talking. It is even worse when the TV is on or music is playing. I tried complaining to Trends Capital about the situation. But, nothing was ever done.

They have an answering service so trying to reach someone in management is close to impossible. They are quick to get back to you when you want to view an apartment or sign a lease. After that good luck getting in touch with anyone from management.

*The Property Grounds-One word, a total DUMP! The only time they clean in the inside of the building is when they might show off the property to a potential renter...and they don't even do that good of a job. There is garbage all over the parking lot, and all over the INSIDE of the building. The most disgusting thing is the complex is INFESTED INFESTED INFESTED with ROACHES! Trends claims to have gotten rid of all the roaches but they are still very much there. Like the other reviewers stated you can't get rid of roaches! It was scary going to bed a night. Not to mention what a hassel it was to pack everything up when it came time to move out of this slum. I had to check everything and seal everything to make sure I didn't bring any ROACHES with me.

*Safety-I can say there were many times I didn't feel safe in this building. There aren't the best of people living in this building. Like one of the other reviewers said, "According to the Pitt News on 11/12/2007 two people were apparently SHOT INSIDE THE BUILDING." When I was there I would see shady drug deals going on and fights in the building. I was afraid to even do my laundry. Oh and the people that live in the building will steal your laundry...you are better off doing it down the road.

*Construction-The building is falling apart. Wow, they threw some paint on the walls and put down some cheap carpet. It is freezing in the winter time because the windows let in a lot of cold air. Not to mention when I was there my A.C and Heat did not work properly. They always said they would fix it but nothing was ever done. The plumbing is horrible. My toilet leaked as did my bathtub. Which sucks when you are paying for water. Water leaks damaged carpets and warped the floor. Basically, don't be fooled by some new carpet and paint. This place is a slum.

*Maintance-Is a joke! They do not stick to their word at all. The only time you can catch them is if they happen to be on the property. Then they will lie to your face and not keep their word. (24 hour service and professional maintenance guys in uniform) as Trends states...HA HA HA that is a joke!

When I was at this building I tried to warn many people not to move in here. So, please listen to me when I say this place is a dump! Trends Capital is a SHADY SHADY COMPANY! Good luck trying to get in touch with management after you move in and even better luck trying to get your security deposit back. You have to stay on them about your deposit or you will not get it back. Chances are like me you won't get much of it back at all. Like the other reviewer said take pictures and write every tiny little damage you see because they will charge you for anything!

Lastly, I agree with the other reviewer, check the BetterBusinessBureau website. As of this date 1/30/08 Trends Capital has 11 complaints filed against them since being on the BBB July 2007.

I couldn't agree more with this post. What a dump this building is. Don't be fooled by Trends Capital! You are better off living in a dumpster.
