From all of the people who have lived here over quite a couple years, this used to be a great place to live. Anymore, it is nothing but problems. Many of these problems could have been fixed, excpet the office does not care
1. Parking - pay the extra per month for a garage. but, keep it closed otherwise you will get complaints. If you work, there is no parking in any convienant spaces when you get home.
2. Carts - Buy your own. there are never any downstairs. it is inconvieniant also when you go shopping if you need to carry everything upstairs, especially because tentants yell at you for parking near the ramp where there are no stairs (yes, i have been yelled at) and the docks hours aren't always hte most convienant.
3. Repairs and problems - the office doesnt care. They close whenever they want, got rid of their weekend hours, and are closed for about a hour and a half for lunch. They make you feel bad for asking anythig of them, and if you get a package delivered, the lock it in the office and will not bring it upstairs for you (don't listen to them when they say the will). yo will need to make arangements to get it yourself. Very inconvient if you work full time.
4. Laundry - Plan getting quarters for laundry on yur own. Again, do not depend on the office being open to purchase them. Also, be aware of your time in the washer and dryer, tennants get upset if you are not timely because there are not enough facilities for all that live there.
5. Safety - On new years eve, we witnessed a shooting in the parking lot of the aparment above Penn Towers. The vicitim died. This used to be a nice area, but I wouldn't leave anything unlocked and try not to be out at night. The security guards are great and always do their job to a T. They are the best people working at Penn Towers.
Good luck if you decide to live here. THe apartments are very large for the amount of rent. But, beware of the things listed.
