I highly recommend these apartments. My husband and I love living here. Although it is pricey by Pittsburgh's standards, you definately get what you pay for. It's very safe. The apartments are very spacious and have high, vaulted ceilings w/ very large windows - a great feature living downtown. They are located centrally to everything, and it's very convenient walking or driving to just about anywhere.
We never hear sound from above us, but occasionally we will hear the next door neighbors. If it's a problem, we report it to the front desk and they handle it immediately (the front desk is available 24 hours/day). If you live on the side facing the construction and the trains, I've heard it's somewhat noisey, but we live on the other side (facing the freeways and Mellon arena), and have no problems with street or outside noise.
Maintenance is fabulous - very prompt and courteous. The valet parking is expensive, but worth the price. They're very friendly and professional. The gym is quite well equiped w/ good hours - plus free tanning. They also have parties for the residents with really good catered food. And every Monday they offer a continental breakfast free.
All in all, we are completely satisfied. The building is just beautiful, and all the staff are great. Everyone we met says they don't know how they'd live anywhere else after this. It really is that nice.
