Probably the nicest place in south oakland From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 3/25/2004 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   I lived at Dawson Village apartments on dawson street. Great apartment, decent size, good utility prices, secure building, and great location. If you're a grad student or even an undergrad, it's a great place. Parking for you and even visitor parking included! Attached you will find a copy of my resume. Maintanence was great and Richard the building manager was a great guy. The walls could get a little thin from time to time, the washer and dryers were pretty poor (luckily there are laundromats nearby), the storage lockers weren't all that secure although I never had anything stolen. If you don't like noise at night, I wouldn't recommend (south oakland parties are loud) but other than that it was a great place to live
