I got this apartment from Rent.net when I was relocating to pittsburgh from out of state. It was on Baum Blvd. The pictures looked decent enough for the price, the people I talked to said the place was clean and in good condition. I got there, there were an AMAZING amount of roaches, exposed wiring, garbage covering EVERYTHING outside, the ?deck? looked like it was about to collapse, the intercom system didnt work, the mailboxes didnt lock, it was noisy EVERY day and night, there was this bridge kind of thing stretching across my building to the next one..where people could stand and look directly into my place, there was no parking to speak of, there was this glass door leading to the ?deck? which didnt lock or even close all the way. All in all, the projects would have been a better place. then they had the NERVE to get mad when I wanted to break my lease, so I took pictures of everything and told them that if they wouldnt let me out of the lease AND give me my deposit back, I would be taking these to the proper authorities...needless to say they promptly gave my money back and cancelled my lease. Its a good thing that place is directly across the street from a library and a strip club, because youll need something to take your mind off how much youve been had with this place..



Bottom line: Youd be better off in the Projects.
