Attacked in my apartment

I've lived here for two years and recently the management has gone down the tubes. Tenates are being screened poorly and as a result the building is no longer safe. I was attacked in my apartment and while the mangement says that the building is secure, the security cameras where not recording and the assailant got away. Management was unsympathetic and asked me not to tell any of my fellow neighbors about the incident. Up until recently, I've enjoyed this apartment. But it is simply not safe. Managment has done nothing to improve the security of the building so this doesn't happen again.

I have to disagree with the writer of this review. While, I am not saying that everything is perfect... The School House is a great place to live and Delta Property Management and it's agents, especially the building manager, are great and helpful. As far as security, I feel safe here. While it is possible that there was a technical glitch in the scenerio in this writers comment, I have counted at least 10 security cameras just the other day. This building as any other building, security can only be as good as the compliance of the tenants. The complaint should be with the person who did not assure that the door was closed behing them. As far as background checks, when I recently moved in, I know for a fact that they performed both a credit check as well as a criminal background check on me prior to approving my lease, so I know that they are still screening people who want to move into the building. Each egress into the building is opened by a master key, and then each apartment has two locks on them (one that can be opened with the key, and the other is a dual chamber deadbolt that can only be locked and unlocked from the inside. I feel completely safe in this building, however; like anything else - you need to be aware of your surroundings and take the responsibility of your own safety. You can't blame this occurance totally on the builing or it's management, because trust me - I have lived at other big named apartments in this city, and by far, The School House and it's management definatley pay more attention to security and issues of such more than anywhere else I have lived in the city. Overall, if you are looking for apartments in this section of the city, please don't let this review scare you. Come check it out yourself and you will see that there are pleny of security measures in place as well as a staff that is more than happy to assist at every turn.

It is clear that the management wrote the above..."I disagree" get over it! Your place is not safe. As a victim of a violent crime, it may take having someone close to you, or yourself attacked before waking up! I am shocked that anyone would try to defend this horrific incident! I will tell everyone in Pittsburgh about this looking to move to that area.
