I currently live at the Docks. The buildings by the river have a nice view, but I can't imagine that it makes it worth the rent. I live toward the back of the complex, listening to the train every thirty minutes. Every time that train goes by it blows a whistle for a solid minute. Sometimes longer. But even worse, the "luxury" apartments were not constructed for apartment living. For some of the highest rent in Pittsburgh, it should feel like you are living in a "luxury" apartment. You can hear everything your neighbors do, next door, upstairs, outside in the hallways. It is terrible. What can you expect to hear' People using the restroom (and not just the flushing), televisions, talking, walking, dishwashers, washers and driers, music, arguments, kids crying, dogs barking, you name it - you can hear it. It was the biggest mistake I have ever made. I don't waste my breath complaining to the office, I've been told too many times by my neighbors that they won't do anything about anything. So, after reading the morning paper today and listening to my neighbor using the restroom, I decided to maybe save one of you from the annoyance.

Maybe you should take the time and bring your complaints to the attention of the leasing office. I don't know where everyone posting on here gets the idea that the staff does nothing!! They always try to help out anyway that they can. How do you expect them to fix a situation if you are not even letting them know about it!!! As far as the noise level, I think it is a little far-fetched to say that you can hear your neighbor using the restroom. I don't know what kind of "luxury" apartment you are execting to live in, but these are luxury. Maybe you should check out some of the other apartments in town. You will be thankful that you live here!! All I have to say is MOVE OUT and quit giving others a bad impression of The Docks (because it is the farthest from the truth)!!!

wow thank you, I was looking for a place and i had really like this one but after reading what you wrote you have saved me money and time. My boyfriend and I are moving from las vegas which in itself was a nightmare, we are both from NJ and are just starting out on our own and I couldn't live with myself it i dragged him through that. Thank you so much
