Hallo- Corzich here again. I am pleased to report that my experiences with Union Real Estate have been pretty positive, and light years better than those leeches at Mozart Management. My comments will apply to the King's Arms property at 800 South Negley. The building is well maintained, the rent about average (2002-$460 for an effeciency). You cant get more convenient to Oakland without actually having to live IN Oakland, which I don't recommend. The staff couldnt be nicer and more friendly, though they can be a bit hard to get a hold of. Downside-the walls and construction are extemely flimsy- you WILL hear your neighbors, which drives me nuts, I admit. If you live on the first floor as I do, every little noise in the frequently used basement laundry will echo throughout your apartment. Sole phone jack awkwardly placed by door, so I bought a very long phone cord. The sinks leak constantly. All in all, its not bad for students. I am not a student however, and am ready to move out for a more adult, quiet atmosphere with neighbors who go to bed at a decent hour. This has been one of my better apartments though.
