URE owns multiple properties and it seems no other comments listed what properties they were referring to. I currently live in 444 Hoodrige which up until this past winter, hasn't been a bad place. Rent is very economical, it's a nice area, and the building manager is very friendly / helpful.

Aside from that, this past winter was miserable here. For some reason unknown to me, I speculate it was to save on costs, the water heat (radiators) system was turned down to the point where they were barely above room temperature, which was very low. In other words, there was no point to them being on at all. This was the case for days at a time. I spent most of the winter sleeping with two blankets and a hooded sweatshirt (with the hood up). When a lot of people called and complained, it would be back on for a few days only to be once again turned down. I am almost positive that this was a decision made by Union RE main office and not the grounds manager. He was very patient in listening to everyone's complaints.

Yesterday, at some point in the early morning, the building's water heater ceased to work. I'm guessing that the failure was due to age. Yesterday's ice cold shower wasn't very fun and I'm really not looking forward to the one I'm about to take. I'm really hoping the issue is resolved today, but who can say for sure.
