NOT LUXURY AT ALL
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 8/30/2004
Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
My walls peel every month - the kitchen cabinets are made of aluminum foil - they turn the heat off in the middle of 50-degree weather; when Channel 4 stopped by, they closed the office early - the "cable" goes out everytime it rains or snows - they'll charge you $50 if you take too long to pay a $3 valet charge from when you're friend visited you for 30 minutes - it takes maintenance 5 days to even stop by just to unclog a bathtub (!) - the doorman knocked on my door to accuse my visiting relative of stealing a luggage cart with no apologies after learning he was mistaken - oh yeah, there are two of those carts for all 400 of us - the heated pool is heated from the freakin' sun - the 24-hour gym closes at 11p - the management is mindless, inconsiderate, haphazard, and sarcastic - the shuttle driver will tell you off if you take too long to unload your groceries in the front of the building - on the day we were to move in, they wouldn't give me the keys because the "AC was being repaired and they didn't want me to trip over coils" but when I walked to the apt, there were 4 people cleaning the bathrms and kitchen (') - AEC (who owns WashPlaza) won't return emails or calls - they turn the water off from 8a-2p about once a month with a few hours notice (and when I say notice, I mean a note by the elevator) - and if you get a package in the mail, they slide a note under your door stating to call and they'll bring it up to you then they make you go get it. The only thing I respect is how smooth their game is when you're a prospective tenant. They could've at least bought me a drink instead giving me those chocolate chip cookies they bake in the office (that I haven't seen since btw). I feel like I'm on a long episode of Punk'd but there's no Ashton, just Clarissa laughing. No luxury here. Does luxury means "big windows"' Maybe they should call it Window Tower of Death or Glass Hell'
