(Oct. '08) Well it was another hot miserable night at Washington Plaza. The apartment is hot and the A/C is off. The heater is not turned on though, so you can blow warm air into the apartment which does not cool off the apartment. If people are cold, the air coming in will not warm them up, so what's the point of turning the A/C off' So those who can't cool off stay hot' People who are cold can put more clothes on... Once again it's just another way for the complex to save money at the tenants expense.



(Apr. '07)The utilities is included which is nice for the most part, except when it starts to warm up. The building is all heat or all a/c and they do not turn the a/c on until it's been warm for a couple weeks. With this, you have to open the windows all night to try and get some cooler air in the apartment. Unfortunately the circulation is very poor and you get a lot of uncomfortable nights. Along with it being to warm to sleep comfortably, since you have the windows open, you get to hear the city all night. You get to hear the train, loud cars, people, and worst of all fire trucks A LOT... since the building is basically right next to the fire station. The only reason I can find out through research of my own as to why they don't turn the a/c on is one to save money or make more profit, if you want to call it that; two, they are too lazy to switch it back and forth as the temperature changes. Any problems with changing the heat back and forth should not fall onto the tenants. The tenants should not be the ones inconvenienced. Other than that, I don't have any major issues that would stop me from living here.
