I stayed in Westpointe building one roughly a year ago (PTI housing). This was a HORRIBLE experience. My neighbors spoke absolutely NO English. It sounded like a party was going on next door. When I went over to ask them to keep the noise down, A Mexican man opened the door. Inside of his living room were 15 different bed setups. While its possible that it was a giant Mexican slumber party, I HIGHLY doubt it. I was under the impression that it was one heartbeat per room, Perhaps I read the lease wrong. That wonderful woman that runs the place is positive to get her rent from someone if she keeps 16 people in one apartment room. I actually called the Robinson police on the issue and an officer explained to me that no matter what they do, they just cant rid Westpointe of the illegals.

During my stay there (I was there for a year), I witnessed two occasions of INS raids. Each time they would remove a bus-load of foreigners. Even though they would raid, the -------- were ever present. They would constantly harass my fiance, and would make extremely rude comments to ANY woman.

But enough about the illegal neighbors, I did see something that I will never forget - a Mexican house centipede. The first day I saw one, I thought we had a giant hole in the wall. They are by far the largest bug that I have ever seen in my life. The centipedes were not a rarity either. I would say that I killed an average of 3 a week. We also had cockroaches in the cabinets (Mexican house centipedes actually eat cockroaches - regret killing so many) when we first moved in, but a couple of traps solved that problem almost immediately and we have never had the problem re-occur.

Westpointe does not seem, in my opinion, to be a safe place. While there is an alleged rape, that IS "alleged". There were several occasions at night that I would be brought out of sleep by a gunshot (although, as far as I know, there are no police incidents involving Westpointe and any gunshots/wounds.)

And I agree with all of the other reviews about the smells. The garbage shoots were horrible and the hallways smelled extremely musty and feces-like.

Westpointe is in a world of its own, cut off from the wonderful Robinson community. A place where you can really enjoy the glass covered, netless tennis court, the wide illegal "melting-pot" community, and can always run the chance of finding out if that "alleged" rape was really alleged. Enjoy Westpointe and all it has to offer!

wow that's pretty lame .... i been here since `07 and haven,t seen an illegal yet .... i find it quiet and safe .... so do all the other people that are always out and about playing with their children ... tisk tisk
