When I looked at the apartments, the lady that showed me around ask me where I was moving from. I said Baltimore and she made a unpleasant face and said, "There's a lot of ------ there'". I was very offended and I am white but don't judge anyone based on their skin.

Due to Fair Housing Issues, i think that the agents who work there are professional and know better.

no, there are "professionals" that DON'T know better... this happens all the time. I hope one day this place gets shopped by the Fair Housing Authority and that rental agent says that to them!

Most leasing agents "know" fair housing rules/laws, but if they are racist or incompetent, that doesn't matter. They still say and do what they shouldn't. The reason they send undercover inspectors around, pretending to be renters to places in Pittsburgh is that the office there gets a lot of questions and complaints from prospective renters in that city. Pittsburgh is perceived as having a serious problem in the "fair housing" area---and there's a reason for that perception. Not just when it comes to people of color, but issues dealing with the disabled and families with children, too.
