Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I used to live at the Woodhawk Club over 2 years ago and looking back I am very happy I was able to move out when I did. The structure is extremely poor.. and the quality of the building itself is something to be laughed at. When the wind picks up, in the bedroom with the bay window, it sounds like a wind tunnel of sorts. During the winter the heating bill is unreasonable. One month even a couple years ago, we had a heating bill easily over $200.00. We could never keep the heat in. :(
A warning to all residents and future residents. We had to give a hefty security deposit when we first moved in. When we were submitting our keys and vacating our apartment, we were given a list of everything that needed to be done. We even had maintenance look over our apartment to give us a thumbs up. We never had a walk through with any office staff, which we felt was odd. They assured us it was typical and nothing to be concerned about.
A few weeks later, we received a letter from the complex. They couldn't refund us the full amount of security deposit for a simple reason of a few little dents in the kitchen flooring. Apparently they had to replace it. The fact is, it was already there when we moved in.
I have read quite a few reviews and when it comes to receiving security deposits back, don't count on it.
Good luck when it comes to this place. It's overpriced and simply not worth the time to take a chance with.
