They raise some people's rent and not others'' What'' Are you actually that incompetent that you think they just go around raising anyone's rent that they feel like raising' Here's how it works: There are over 300 and some apartments in the building, and believe it or not, not everyone moved in at the exact same time, and believe it or not, not everyone pays the exact same rental rate. You see, what heppens is since people are moving in at all different times and pay all different rents, they make rent adjustments. Usually after the first year, you will get an increase in rent of about 3-5%. Roughly. So people who's lease expires may incur an increase while someone who's lease has not yet expired, does not get the increase.
It is not that they just give increases to whomever they fell like, it is simply how the business works. Anyone with a 3rd grade education can figure this out. And yes, there are times where some people DO NOT get an increase after a lease expires. They may have something worked out with management. You never know. there are all kinds of reasons. So, please do not sit on here and write to the public how this place just does whatever they fee like doing, because it is not the case. I mean if you dont like it, pack up your ---- and move on out!! It is actually that easy.
There I have said my piece. I like this place. And it is not as bad as the knuckle head who wrote the last review said.

Place One is crap. I have had nothing but problems here as well. The office people are the rejects from other apartment complexes and it takes all they have to smile let alone say hello to someone. My apartment is falling apart and my brother got stuck on an elevator for 4 hours one night. My friend was stuck for over an hour. I have water leaks over my television from the apartment upstairs. I found ants in my kitchen. Nothing gets fixed properly. People are allowed to smoke in the hallways, this place sucks. I am a lawyer who is recently divorced. I just wanted a nice quiet place, not this. I plan to move after the summer. Buyer beware. Nice people with cookies when you sign your lease and then it's hell from there. And, yes they do raise rent in the middle of a lease. They sent me a notice of a 6% increase after 2 months. Since I am a lawyer I faught it and won.

The original reviewer sounds like they work for Place One. Even the poor grammar and spelling errors are like the management memos. I don't think any of them graduated high school. I have to agree with the other 3 responders.

If "placeonesucks" were really a lawyer, he would know how to spell "fought".
