My honest opinion about Sussex Square The Good & The Bad

The Good: The apartments are very spacious with a decent amount of closet space. There is always a lot of parking no matter what time of the day. The maintenance man is very friendly and is timely in responding to your complaints. The apartments are very affordable especially for the great location.
The Bad: The construction of the apartments is horrible so you can always hear your neighbors. I could hear my neighbor s talk, walk, and watch TV. Not everyone in the office is helpful. I called several times with the same complaint and nothing was ever done nor was I ever called back by anyone. Yes my complaints were about noise but when your neighbors are making a lot of noise at 1AM you would complain to. I had the maintenance man agree on several occasions that my neighbors were to loud but nothing was ever done about it. Note to the next poor residents who have to deal with my neighbors when asked to be quiet they don t listen and a good thing to know is that in Plymouth Meeting 10PM is when the noise ordinance is in affect (I know I had to call the police department a few times because it was that bad). Even the maintenance man told me that he can hear his neighbors all the time. I believe that when the apartments are this cheap and in a good location they don t have a hard time filling them so they don t care as much about making their residents happy. The pool hours are not convenient for anyone who has a job or goes to school because it is usually closed or closing by the time you get home. I never knew exactly what the hours were because it seemed as if it changed all the time.

I just wanted to touch on a few things. The pool hours are always the same, unless the weather is looking bad. It is always closed on Mondays - open Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Yes, I agree that the hours suck - they changed this year from 10-8 to 11-7. I think 10-8 was better and at the time of those hours, I still wished they were a little more extended. With the noise, your neighbors just sound like really inconciderate people. My neighbors aren't the greatest but they aren't awful when it comes to noise either. Yes, you can hear things through the walls, but you should probably remember that you're in an apartment! If you don't want to hear through the walls, buy/rent a house. You really can't expect to NOT hear things in an apartment. If you have a problem with noise after a certain time, continue calling the police. If you have a problem and need to contact the office, call during the WEEK hours and speak with Charlene. I'm sure she'll take care of it. If you call during the weekend, you'll get the ONLY bad employee they have (I don't know her name) and she's very.. NOT helpful. She's also not very nice at all.. However, despite what some people think about Charlene, she's very helpful and very nice. I hope this helped...
