Overall, I would recommend Hanover Gardens as a place to live. My complaints are few and minor, but here you are:
1. The apartment I'm in is on the second floor overlooking the Wawa parking lot. Normally it's not a problem at all, but on those comfortable fall and spring evenings, when you try to sleep with the window open, it's a little difficult when the delivery trucks pull up between midnight and 3:00 A.M. I'd recommend just staying away from building 200.
2. The management has a knack for sending out what I call "it has come to our attention" letters. These usually result, I suspect, from a network of elder residents who have nothing to do but sit around all day in their lawn chairs watching the goings on and trying to find a matter to bring to management's attention. I was sharing an apartment with a friend of mine. The old-biddy network does not like young bachelors or bachelorettes living in the development.
3. I'm not sure what the holdup is, but at least a year ago, the management started replacing windows. The original ones are horrible. Even when closed tightly, there is a constant draft with gusts up to ten miles an hour. On sub-40 degree days, it was nearly impossible to keep all rooms at a constant, comfortable temperature. Anyway, there must be a hierarchy of window replacement. The new ones are spattered in no particular pattern around the various buildings.
4. If you live in one of the two buildings along the main road going into the development, prepare for the war on curbside parking. These spaces are guarded by some, and you can see couples teams maneuvering to keep at least one spot out front. God forbid they pull around to the spacious lot and have to walk an extra 50 feet!

If you can tolerate a few eccentricities among the residents, and stay on the village elders' good sides, you'll probably be very happy.
